ESG Solutions to give Microseismic Keynote at Upcoming SPE Hydraulic Fracture Technology Conference

ESG Solutions (Engineering Seismology Group or ESG), an industry leader in microseismic technology and services, is pleased to announce that Dr. Ted Urbancic, Director of Global Energy Services at ESG Solutions,  will be delivering the keynote address for the Microseismic technical session at the upcoming SPE Hydraulic Fracture Technology Conference (HTC).  The presentation will take place on Wednesday January 26, 2011 at 8:30 am at the Woodlands Waterway Marriot Hotel, in The Woodlands, Texas.

Dr. Ted Urbancic will open the Microseismic technical session at the SPE HTC conference with a presentation titled: “Can Microseismic Monitoring Provide the Answers Engineers Seek?”  This innovative talk will focus on the integration of advanced microseismic analysis techniques with engineering data during hydraulic fracture stimulations, and highlight how this integration benefits engineers working in complex unconventional plays by helping them to enhance and optimize production.

“ESG is honored to have the opportunity to deliver a keynote address at this prestigious conference,” said Dr. Ted Urbancic.  “We are looking forward to presenting the latest evolution of microseismic fracture analysis, and demonstrating the value of integrating real-time microseismics with completions engineering.”

ESG’s FracMap™ services are used to provide real-time microseismic and engineering monitoring of hydraulic fracture stimulations.  FracMap’s™ advanced suite of proprietary analytical tools uses seismic moment tensor inversion (SMTI), 3D fracture network imaging,  and geomechanical analysis to help producers understand the complexities of the fracturing process.  These techniques can be used to characterize fracture development, estimate the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV), identify enhanced permeability networks, and increase the effectiveness of the completions program.
