ESG Solutions Receives COR Certification from the Alberta Safety Council

Kingston, Ontario (November 14, 2012) – ESG Solutions, an industry leader in microseismic technology and services, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Alberta Safety Council and Alberta Employment and Immigration.  The COR is awarded to employers who implement and maintain health and safety programs that meet established provincial standards.

“Acquisition of this certification represents months of hard work by ESG management and employees,” says Steve Goddard, Operations Support Manager at ESG.  “To achieve COR certification, a Health and Safety Program needs to be independently audited and reviewed by a certifying partner for compliance with quality standards.”

The COR initiative is based on the concept that when employers and workers build effective health and safety systems, the human and financial costs of workplace injuries and illnesses can be reduced.  Operators in the oil and gas industry appreciate when service companies take initiative and demonstrate a commitment to health, safety and the environment.  The same standards specified for COR in Alberta are currently used by all of ESG’s operations across North America.

ESG is committed to excellent Health & Safety performance as an integral part of its service and business activities.  Effective health and safety management systems have been shown to have an impact on reducing injuries.  “Our goal is a healthy, injury free and productive work place for all employees.  By working together in all parts of this program, we can achieve this goal,” says Goddard.

In addition to COR certification, ESG is also a registered user of ISNetWorld and ComplyWorks.
