Full Stack Developer

ESG is looking for a Full Stack Developer who is responsible for development and maintenance of our web application for viewing and analyzing seismic data.  As part of our software team, the specialist will work with new and established technologies as part of an Agile group of developers under the supervision of a software architect.

Job Description

Primary duties will include:

•Interfacing with back-end systems (REST APIs and database systems) to pull data and store inputs

•Developing new APIs to allow clients to pull data from our system and to pass data within our systems

•Building user interfaces in a React framework

•Work on back-ends written in Java and Node.js

•Supporting Tomcat web server in conjunction with IT team

Qualifications and Experience

•University or college education in Engineering, Computing, Physics, or Applied Math 

• At least 2 years of experience as a full stack developer

•Familiarity with Javascript, HTML 5.0, CSS, React, Redux, Node.js, MongoDB, and Java

•Experience working with Three.js and RESTful APIs is an asset

•Experience working with AWS cloud systems is an asset

•A strong mathematical background and aptitude for developing scientific or quantitative code is an asset

•Ability to contribute in a team environment

•Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated; able to work autonomously

•Legally eligible to work in Canada
