ESG is currently recruiting an experienced sales professional to work with the Mining and Geotech business unit to develop and manage sales and business development opportunities in the mining markets in Latin America. 

Job Description

The sales representative will be located in Mexico and will work closely with the Mining and Geotech team to: 

  • Establish and strengthen ESG’s position in LatAm market. Develop market entry plans and conduct business development activities in adjacent emerging markets.
  • Manage and service existing client relationships.
  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans to support the growth and adoption of ESG's microseismic technologies.
  • Work with ESG’s Marketing group to develop and implement an annual marketing plan to support the overall sales and business development strategy.
  • Travel within Latin America to meet with new and existing clients as well as participation in tradeshows.
  • Work with ESG’s technical support team to facilitate client support for Spanish speaking clients.
  • Perform regular sales forecasting and account management reporting utilizing ESG’s CRM system.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Geophysics, geological or engineering background is an asset.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Proven track record in developing client relationships. Successful track record of maintaining a market share within an existing market.
  • 7+ years in sales, preferably relating to products and services in the mining or instrumentation industry.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with mining related technical sales experience.
  • Ability for frequent travel to Latin America (with some travel in North America).
  • Demonstrated aptitude in understanding and solving complex technical issues.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Established client contacts in key markets are an asset.
