David Moore
David Moore is the president and CEO of ESG Solutions. He leads the development and rollout of the company’s growth strategy and works with his team to drive its vision and mission. David began his career as a captain in the United States Air Force, spent over a decade at GE Power and GE Oil & Gas, and was previously the president and CEO of a PE-backed upstream manufacturing company serving the energy sector.

Meena Mackie
As president of ESG Solutions, Meena brings her B Com/CA/CPA background to her leadership role. She spends each day managing various functional teams and meeting the challenge of constant improvement to better serve clients. There’s never a dull moment at ESG, and that’s just the way she likes it. Prior to joining ESG, Meena held leadership roles in the information/technology sector including CFO for LexisNexis and senior roles with Hummingbird/OpenText.

Trevor Pugh
Trevor is a serial entrepreneur with 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His background is in physics and R&D startups, and he’s started and successfully exited several companies. His present project is ESG Solutions’ ownership company Deep Imaging Technologies. Trevor has authored numerous patents and whitepapers dealing with many facets of the industry.

Olena Varych
Olena provides leadership and management to the finance department, as well as financial strategy recommendations to the executive team. Her day includes overseeing all financial decisions, such as budgeting and auditing, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. She’s a CPA and CGA with an M.Sc. and Mathematics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in Ukraine. Olena loves working in a challenging industry with a passionate and customer-oriented team.

Doug Angus
Doug leads the innovation and development of new data analytics tools and services. He also oversees and manages the integration of IT and software operations. He has a BScEng, an MScEng, and a PhD in Geophysics. ESG Solutions gives Doug opportunities to focus on integrating geoscience data streams, implementing change, and adapting to new technologies while focusing on the integrity and quality of services.

Jason Sherman
Jason oversees the manufacturing department, project engineering, quality, logistics, supply chain, field installations, and technical support. He has a diploma in Electronics from St. Lawrence College, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from McGill, and a focus on Lean methodology and ISO 9001:2015 compliance. Jason has spent more than 25 years at ESG Solutions. During that time, he’s seen the company grow immensely and he’s proud to be part of it.

Sheri Bowman-Young
Sheri joined ESG Solutions in 2006, starting out as a geophysicist and moving up to management. She now oversees all data processing, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Sheri is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) and holds a B.Sc Applied Science and a B.Sc in Geological Sciences from Queen’s University, as well as an MBA from Smith School of Business. She enjoys helping clients use data to understand and optimize their operations.

Chris Hawryluck
Chris provides company-wide engineering support and oversees product development for new hardware products, including sensors and data acquisitions systems. He holds an MBA and a B.E.Sc and M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, and he has over 25 years of new product development in varied industries. Chris appreciates that ESG Solutions offers fast-paced work, exposes engineers to a wide range of engineering challenges, and keeps solutions and service at the core of the business.

Tony Butler
Tony Butler has a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an M.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo. Since 2013, he’s used his experience running seismic monitoring networks to identify and communicate potential issues, design and expand systems with clients, and drive system technical enhancements to improve equipment applications. Tony enjoys taking a system from concept to reality and working with other organizations to ensure operational safety.

Daniel Hook
Daniel Hook holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics and a master’s degree in Computing, both from Queen’s University. He’s been at ESG Solutions for more than a decade, overseeing the company’s software development teams, coordinating system design and architecture, and collaborating with product managers to meet customer needs. Daniel’s teams are continually exploring new ideas over a huge range of different domains, and it’s a joy to work with these talented and experienced individuals.

Breanne Waggott
Breanne has a bachelor’s degree in geological sciences and began her career as a hydrogeologist in Yukon and Alberta. She then moved to ESG Solutions for reservoir monitoring sales, and later became the sales and marketing operations manager. Breanne is now responsible for reservoir monitoring sales in North America, management of sales operations and ESG’s Global Energy Services Sales team. She believes in offering customers tailored solutions that will address their specific subsurface needs.

Jean-Philippe Mercier
Jean-Philippe Mercier is the Executive Vice President of Mining at ESG Solutions. Jean-Philippe is a strong and inclusive leader whose focus is to create an environment favourable to building long-lasting client relationships, encouraging collaboration and fostering innovation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in geophysics. Jean-Philippe has been involved in the mining industry for more than a decade, acting in various roles in organizations including Rio Tinto, WSP-Golder and Nanometrics. Jean-Philippe joined ESG Solutions to help affirm the company’s dedication to the mining industry and its mining clients. Part of his role will ensure ESG’s services, product lines, and technology provide value to its clients and address their needs.

Willem de Beer
Willem de Beer is ESG’s Australasian manager. He holds a PhD in theoretical high energy physics and has been involved in mine seismology for 25 years, working in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Mongolia, Peru, Canada, Indonesia, and the USA. He enjoys deep engagement with the close-knit and intimate mine geotechnical community, seeking to integrate ESG’s teams with site operational teams to turn data into knowledge and provide relevant and timely advice. Willem is based in Brisbane, Queensland and has established a presence in Perth, Western Australia.
